Pottery session at the GRaCE cafe

The GRaCE cafe began in 2015 as a place to provide regular support and interaction for those living with mental health difficulties. It became a small charity in 2017, and has continued to thrive since.

myGRaCE and GRaCE-AGE support people to monitor and manage their own mental health and wellbeing so that they can live more safely and independently, and to prevent or recover from mental health difficulties. However, social interaction, positive relationships and engagement with meaningful activities are essential in building resilience and long-lasting recovery. To help achieve this, eGRiST started the GRaCE cafe for people in the local community to meet others and enjoy a variety of activities.

The cafe recently ran a pottery session, inviting people to make their own pottery portraits over tea and a chat. Everyone had a great time, and the results were excellent:

The GRaCE cafe is a positive community hub, and it's something we're very proud of. We hope to keep building on its success in the coming months and years.
