About Us

Brief background to our research team

The GRiST project is a collaboration between Computer Science, Aston University, and the Health Sciences Research Institute, University of Warwick. Dr Christopher Buckingham from Aston is the chief investigator and Dr Ann Adams is the principal investigator at Warwick. Developing the software for eliciting mental-health expertise and implementing it within a decision support system is the main role for Aston University. Warwick University is responsible for generating the clinical and service user expertise. If you wish to know more about either activity or to become involved with the project, our contact details are provided below. We look forward to hearing from you.

The psychological model for representing risk-assessment expertise has a proven theoretical and applied track record (see the research documents for some of the papers) and we have members of the research team with expertise in mathematical modelling that will provide further evidence about how patient data affects risks. Our research team has skills in all aspects of the clinical and technical areas required for achieving the project outcomes and access to excellent academic and clinical networks. It also has experience of both project management and the economic implications of research, with members having worked on collaborations with industry.
